The Interactive Board is a learning activity based on the dynamics of board games, ideal for reviewing concepts, testing what students have learned, and reinforcing course content through gameplay.
Throughout the game, students will have to overcome different questions and challenges to advance along the path and reach the final space.
Board Game setup
From the editor, you can customize the appearance of the Interactive Board, configure the game, and add questions.
Cover: Customize the game's start screen by selecting your preferred background. You can use a solid color, a gradient, or an image.
Title: Enter the title that students will see when they access the activity. You can choose a name that refers to the course topic or the challenge they will have to complete.
Board background: Choose the background design that will accompany the game's path. You can choose a solid color, a gradient, or an image to adapt it to the style of your activity.
Gamification: Adjust the elements that will define the game dynamics, such as the scoring system, time limit, and available power-ups.
Spaces per game: Select the number of spaces that will make up the path: 10, 20, or 30. This allows you to set a shorter or longer game according to your learning objectives.
Questions: Create the questions that students will have to answer during the game and customize their content. You can use two types of questions:
Written answer: questions in which students enter their answer in a text field.
Answer selection: questions in which students must choose the correct option from several alternatives.
In both cases, you can add images and configure feedback messages for correct and incorrect answers, providing students with information about their results.
To add a new question, click the + button. If you want to modify an existing question, select it from the list to access its editing options.
Behavior
Students must roll the die to move across the board and answer the questions associated with the destination spaces. To continue the game, they will have to answer each question by selecting one of the available options or entering their answer, depending on the configured format.
Questions may include images to complement the prompt and facilitate understanding of the content. In addition, special spaces can introduce changes to the path and cause students to move forward or backward.
During the game, the score, timer, and power-ups help introduce different game dynamics. The goal is to complete the path and reach the finish, reviewing course content as the various challenges are solved.
Feedback
The Interactive Board allows you to add customized feedback for correct and incorrect answers, in order to provide students with additional information after each answer.
You can include explanations that facilitate understanding of the solution, expand on information about the concept covered, or clarify the most common mistakes. You can also add recommendations and best practices related to the course content.
In this way, feedback helps students understand their answers, resolve questions, and reinforce the knowledge they acquired throughout the activity.
