In the right panel of the slide editor you will find several configurable aspects of your project's slides:
Layout options
When you add a new slide, it will bring a default layout, but at any time you can choose any other option that best suits your needs.
To select another layout click on the Slide Layout tab and you will see a new panel that will allow you to choose the layout and number of elements of your slide. If you wish, you can filter by the number of available spaces.
If you want to change the layout later on, there is no problem: the elements you have created will be placed in their new position. When switching between layouts with different numbers of cells, you may leave some elements out of the slide. You can see more about this situation in the next point.
Elements of the slide
The list of elements represents the contents of the cells of your slide. If a cell is free, you can click on it to add a new element in that position. This guide article explains the process of creating elements in more detail.
If you click on a cell occupied by an element, it will be selected in the slide and the panel will show you the properties of that element.
You can move the elements to other free cells or swap their position with an existing element by using the drag indicator on the right side of the list. Simply click and drag the item to a new position in the list. You can also drag the item directly on the slide to fill the cell you choose. In this other article of our support guide, you will find more information on how to move elements and other actions you can perform with them.
As we mentioned before, when you change the layout of a slide with elements already created, some of them may be left out. This happens, for example, when you have an element in position 3 of a slide, and you change to a 2-cell layout. In these cases, you will see that the “missing” element is marked with a warning sign.
You can solve this in two ways:
- By moving the element to an empty position: you can do this either on the list of elements, or by dragging it to a cell in the slide.
- Deleting the element: if you no longer need it in your slide, you can delete it directly from the list.
Margins of the elements
This section allows you to customize the look of your slide by controlling the spacing between elements and the rounding of their corners.
Slide background
- Color: you can choose any color from the palette and control their opacity. In addition, you can pick any other color you prefer using the custom colors.
- Gradient: you can choose one of the gradients from the palette and control its opacity and angle. In addition, you can choose any other gradient using the custom gradient configurator.
- Image: you can use an image as the background of your slide. Note that in responsive mode this image will be cropped as it is considered decorative only. If you want to use an image with content displayed in responsive mode you must use the image resource as an element of the slide. You can see more about the treatment of images in the related article of the guide, as the configuration options offered in this case are the same.
