With Autopilot, creating courses faster and achieving better results is easier than ever. In this article, you will discover a series of practical tips that will help you optimize the process and easily adapt the content to your needs.
Below, we share some key recommendations to make the most of the full potential of automatic course generation and achieve better results from the very first moment with each mode.
Strict Document
For the AI to generate a well-structured course with the best possible outcome using strict mode, we recommend following these best practices.
Added File
To create a properly organized index, the AI needs to identify the document's structure.
Use a maximum of three hierarchical levels: document title, sections, and subsections.
Maintain a coherent and consistent structure throughout the document.
Whenever possible, number the sections and subsections (for example, 1, 1.1). This is one of the most reliable signals for the AI to correctly interpret the content organization.
👉If you work with Word:
Use the native heading styles (Heading 1, Heading 2, and Heading 3). This way, the system will automatically recognize the document hierarchy.
👉If you work with PDF:
Avoid overly complex hierarchies, such as numbering like 3.2.1. In some cases, the system may misinterpret them and simplify the content structure.
Regarding the images in your file, the AI may not correctly interpret their content, so it is recommended that all relevant information be in text format.
Exercises and Games
It is not necessary to add questions or activities to the document. The AI generates them automatically during course creation, and later you can edit or customize them.
Additional Tips
If your document contains images with text, convert it to PDF before uploading. This makes it easier for the AI to read that content.

Document Interpretation
Prompt
The more precise your instructions are, the more tailored the result will be. You can specify, for example, how many sections you want or which content should be removed.
Here are some examples:
“Create a welcome course for new employees in two sections.”
“Create a course for new employees removing all information related to internal policies.”
Added File
Avoid over-fragmenting the document
If the original document is too fragmented into small parts, the generated course may have very short and underdeveloped sections. Try to group the content into fuller blocks for better results.
Autopilot automatically generates activities and exercises
Do not include tests or exercises in the document; you can add your game or exercise by choosing the categories within the index. Afterwards, you can edit or configure them inside the final course.
Avoid adding introductions and conclusions in the document
Autopilot includes these sections automatically. If they already exist in the document, it’s no problem: you can review and adjust them once the course is generated.
Use files containing text rather than images whenever possible
Artificial intelligence may not correctly interpret images. For better results, include content in text format whenever you can.
Tip: If your document contains images with text, convert it to PDF so the AI can read them.
Exercises and Games
Create subsections with content. Make sure the section contains subsections with information. This means that within the section where you include a game or exercise, you must also add subsections with the content you want to appear in those games and exercises.
Remember that the information used to generate them will come from there.
