isEazy Author courses are highly customizable, and in this article, we explain all the visual aspects you can edit to your liking.
Course Name
The name allows you to identify the project in the project list and will also be displayed as the title on the course cover and as the header in the table of contents. You can modify your project's name directly by clicking on the title or by clicking the button located to its left.
This editing is also available in the structure editor and project settings view.
Course Image
Like the name, the course image has a dual function: on one hand, it helps identify the project in the project list, and on the other hand, in classic courses, it serves as the cover and header of the table of contents.
We recommend using a purely decorative image without text. Keep in mind that there are many device sizes, and your course image may be cropped.
To select the course image, click the camera button located at the bottom left of the image field.
Once the course image is set, you can delete it using the trash button that appears to the right of the element or replace it by clicking the camera again.
Cover Mode
You can choose the cover mode that best suits your course’s purpose; there are three modes: Classic, No Cover, and Side Panel.
For express courses, this course element will not be configurable, as this format displays content directly without a cover.
Navigation Mode
In this option, you can choose your course’s navigation type: classic or vertical. The main difference between the two options is how you navigate through the course content.
With classic navigation, progress is made using buttons that allow moving from one screen to another horizontally. In contrast, with vertical navigation, the content is scrolled by moving up or down within the same page.
Logo
For users with a Professional or Business plan, it is possible to include a customizable logo in the course header. To add it, you need to upload an image, preferably transparent, with dimensions of 100px width and 50px height maximum. Additionally, if your course is accessible, you can add alternative text for your logo.
For users with a Free account, the isEazy Author logo will appear and will not be configurable.
Scheme
You can choose a color background or an image to personalize your course.
Color: tell us a color, and we will customize the color palette based on your preferences. Your course interface will be personalized with the color scheme you have chosen without any hassle. Easy, right?
- Template Colors: Also, if you use the template colors, you won’t have to worry about changing palettes thanks to Smart Colors.
From here, you can see the palette currently applied to your project, select another one, or create a custom palette (if you have a Business or Enterprise account). However, we recommend doing this from the slide editor so you can see how the palette looks live. We suggest reading the article about Smart Colors to learn more.
Image: in this customization mode, we display the image you select as the course background. The rest of the interface elements will adopt neutral tones to ensure the readability of all texts and give full prominence to your background image. If you choose this option, we recommend an image of 1920x1080 pixels and a file size below or close to 1MB.
Course Typography
You can choose the typography you prefer for the titles and body text of your courses. You can find more information on how to do this in this article in the support guide.
Template Color
When creating your project, you selected a color for the template. From this section, you can modify it at any time and choose the one that best suits your needs.
